Members

The voting members of Commission des partenaires du marché du travail are appointed by government for a three-year term. They are chosen from among the main stakeholder groups, including employers, labour organizations, and educational institutions, as well as community groups active in employability development.

Chairman

  • Jean-Luc Trahan

Two ex officio members

Their presence permits coordination between the Commission and the public authority responsible for employment measures for individuals and businesses.

  • Brigitte Pelletier, Deputy Minister, ministère de l’Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale
  • Johanne Bourassa, Associate Deputy Minister Responsible for Emploi-Québec and Secretary General of the Commission

Six members from the field of labour

They represent union groups that count over one million workers.

  • Denise Boucher, Vice President, Confédération des syndicats nationaux (CSN)
  • Daniel Boyer, Secretary General, Fédération des travailleurs et travailleuses du Québec (FTQ)
  • Pierre Lemieux, Vice President, Union des producteurs agricoles
  • Réjean Parent, President, Centrale des syndicats du Québec
  • Gérald Tremblay, Grand Lodge Representative, IAMAW, Fédération des travailleuses et travailleurs du Québec
  • François Vaudreuil, President, Centrale des syndicats démocratiques (CSD)

Six members from the business sector

They represent Québec’s leading employers, including big business and SMEs.

  • Françoise Bertrand, President, Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec
  • Yves-Thomas Dorval, President, Conseil du patronat du Québec
  • Florent Francœur, President and CEO, Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines et en relations industrielles agréés du Québec
  • Christian Bélair, Director General, Regroupement des jeunes chambres de commerce du Québec
  • Martine Hébert, Vice President Quebec, Canadian Federation of Independent Businesses
  • Simon Prévost, President, Quebec Manufacturers and Exporters

Three members from the community sector, including a youth representative

The organizations represented are active in employability development and job integration.

  • Martine Roy, Member, Réseau des carrefours jeunesse-emploi du Québec
  • Sherolyn Moon Dahmé, Co-Chair, Regroupement québécois des organismes en développement de l’employabilité
  • Sylvie Roy, President, Coalition des organismes communautaires pour le développement de la main-d’œuvre

Two members from the educational sector (secondary and college level)

These two partners represent all French-language public teaching institutions, from preschool to college.

  • Gaëtan Boucher, President and CEO, Fédération des cégeps
  • Josée Bouchard, President, Fédération des commissions scolaires du Québec

Four non-voting members appointed by Government of Québec ministries

These public administrators ensure cooperation with other governmental organizations involved in training and employment measures.

  • Martine Faille, Director General, Politiques et programme d’intégration et d’interculturalisme, Ministère de l’Immigration et des Communautés culturelles
  • Brigitte Guay, Assistant Deputy Minister for Vocational and Technical Training and Continuing Education, Ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport
  • Linda Morin, Assistant Deputy Minister for Land Occupancy, Ministère des Affaires municipales, des Régions et de l’Occupation du territoire
  • (Nomination à venir) Assistant Deputy Minister for Economic Policy, Ministère des Finances et de l'Économie

One invited guest

This invited guest represents Québec’s French and English-language universities.

  • Daniel Zizian, CEO, represents the Conference of Rectors and Principals of Québec Universities.
