Organization

The Commission des partenaires du marché du travail is a provincial consultation body that brings together representatives from business, labor, education, community and governmental organizations dedicated to improving the efficiency of the labour market. These labour market stakeholders pool their expertise and ideas in order to enhance public employment services and foster workforce skills development and recognition.

The Commission acts as an interface between the Québec government and partner organizations directly concerned by employment and human resource development. The Commission contributes to the improvement of labour and business productivity and boosts employment levels by giving advice to the minister, helping establish Emploi-Québec's policy directions as well as terms and conditions for the Act to promote workforce skills development and recognition and developing various skills development and recognition tools.

The Commission’s actions are governed primarily by two statutes, the Act respecting the Ministère de l'Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale and the Commission des partenaires du marché du travail and the Act to promote workforce skills development and recognition.
